Overall Business Outlook Rating
4 out of 5 Stars
Working at Marks Paneth LLP has been an extremely positive experience thus far. As opposed to my experiences at my last two employers, most people I have worked with here are extremely friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and respectful. Its tax-review process prior to ultimate completion is both effective and efficient.
Furthermore, Marks Paneth's employees appear to be overall content in their current positions. Such monthly side events as Trivia Wednesday and lunches such as last Friday's in observance of Chinese New Year are very generous and both supplement and alleviate the experience and stress that comes with the job, respectively. Food is always ample and in turn, portion sizes are always generous. No employee is ever left out, especially those who cannot attend such events due to professional conflicts (e.g. an external audit). These employees can currently apply for a $12 lunch reimbursement, much more than any option available in any firm at which I have previously worked.
I cannot objectively comment about Marks Paneth LLP in comparison to another such mid-sized accounting firm (e.g. EisnerAmper or Grant Thornton), but the level of employee morale I have both witnessed and experienced at Marks Paneth does likely better position it in the long run. When employees have time to rest, recharge, and pursue their interests outside of work, they come both in and back more physically, mentally and emotionally sound. Greater morale and long-run productivity therefore ensue and result.
