About Fox Rothschild LLP

Sly Like a Fox—Who Wants to Open a Lot of Offices in the U.S.
Fox Rothschild was founded in Philadelphia in 1907. Over the last decade, the firm has expanded to several new regions through mergers and lateral moves across the country, opening offices in Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, and elsewhere. In 2018, the firm welcomed 130 attorneys in six offices throughout the Southeast (North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia) through a merger with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP—the largest combination to date in firm history. Jakes) and Fortune 500 companies like Wells Fargo, Walmart, Merck & Co., and Xerox.
Chalk Boardwalk Empires
Fox Rothschild is a well-established player in the business, corporate and securities, entertainment, labor and employment, employee benefits, real estate, creditors’ rights, litigation, and estates law fields. In the sports realm, Litigation Co-Chair John Haggerty has served as trusted counsel to the tennis champion Maria Sharapova for the past decade.
Fox Rothschild is leading the pack with its multidisciplinary cannabis practice. The practice consists of more than 50 professionals across legal disciplines who have long-standing experience in helping clients in this highly regulated industry. Its team counsels growers, distributors, processors, investors, and suppliers of ancillary products and services. The group launched a blog called In the Weeds to help keep cannabis entrepreneurs well informed on banking, real estate, financing, corporate entity formation and governance, taxation, and creditors’ rights issues that the industry regularly faces. The firm has also penned a number of helpful guides, including the Cannabis Industry State Tax Guide, Employment Compliance in the Age of Legalized Marijuana, and the National Survey on Marijuana Laws and Regulations.
