About Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP

From its two offices in Atlanta and Tallahassee, Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs and its 70+ attorneys provide a full spectrum of corporate, regulatory, and litigation services. Parker Hudson takes pride in its ability to build and maintain close working relationships with its clients while providing top-notch legal representation.

Founded on Client Connection

Parker Hudson was founded in 1981 by three big-firm attorneys who wanted to target the growing health law field and build a practice that would enable them to work hands on with clients. Though the firm has expanded well beyond its original trio, Parker Hudson doesn’t grow just for growth’s sake. The firm stands behind its commitment to “go beyond” for clients, which includes only hiring more attorneys when there is a true client need. Many Parker Hudson attorneys are hired from large law firms, which the firm believes is one way to maintain legal services of the highest quality.

Advocates and Neutrals

Parker Hudson represents clients in transactions like business capitalizations, commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions, wealth management, and private equity. The firm’s litigation practice group boasts a long resume of cases ranging from disputes in intellectual property, business torts, employment, insurance, and white collar criminal defense. The firm also touts numerous multi-disciplinary groups like privacy and data security, health care, corporate governance, and tax. Examples of the firm’s experience include counseling healthcare entities on compliance issues like HIPAA, working with financial institutions through mergers and acquisitions, assisting private equity clients with capital raises, and representing clients facing securities enforcement actions.

Parker Hudson’s dispute-resolution expertise goes beyond the courtroom with its alternate dispute resolution services. The firm offers a roster of neutrals with extensive experience overseeing high-states mediation and arbitration proceedings—many related to bankruptcy disputes—and resolving the issues with creative settlement solutions. Parker Hudson neutrals are included on lists maintained by the American Arbitration Association and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.

Giving Back Nationally and Locally

Parker Hudson is a long-time supporter of national organizations like the United Way—one of the firm’s senior counsel has served as campaign chair of the organization for over 30 years—and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The firm also demonstrates its concern for the local environment by supporting initiatives like the Georgia Conservancy and Trees Atlanta. Further, Parker Hudson has a reputation of generously offering pro bono services in Atlanta and beyond. The firm is a long-term supporter of the Georgia Justice Project and a “pace setter” supporter of Atlanta Legal Aid and was recently named the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation “Firm of the Year.”
