Founded in 2001 with the mission to materially improve the delivery of healthcare in the world, The Chartis Group is a comprehensive advisory and analytics services firm dedicated to the healthcare industry. With a depth of expertise in strategic planning, performance excellence, informatics and technology, and health analytics, Chartis helps leading academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, children's hospitals and healthcare service organizations achieve transformative results.

The Chartis Group is comprised of experienced senior healthcare professionals and consultants who apply their knowledge of healthcare economics, markets, clinical models and technology to help each client address their most pressing issues.

Leading the way

The Chartis Group continues to be a compelling voice on the healthcare stage, speaking and writing on topics such as enterprise strategy, value-based care, health policy impact, health system and provider performance, health segment trends and issues, IT strategy, health analytics, digital health and care delivery transformation. The firm also continues to support dialogue among female executives in the industry through its annual Women's Healthcare Executive Roundtable, now in its 12th year.

COVID-19 Update

As Chartis navigates the global COVID-19 health crisis, we remain committed as a firm to cultivating an environment where every colleague has the opportunity to grow, learn, and impact their clients and communities in meaningful ways. To further this mission during the pandemic we have created the Chartis HomeFront, a platform through which we connect all of our colleagues and share our respective HomeFront experiences. For instance, we’ve created new communication channels and resources including townhall forums, weekly newsletters, a work from home playbook, caregiver chats/resources, virtual happy hours, a community service interest group, virtual fitness classes, an employee-focused COVID-19 resource center and an enhanced on-demand training library.

From an external perspective, the Chartis team has rapidly mobilized to develop thought leadership, insights and new service offerings to address the acute challenges facing our healthcare clients. We are providing strategies that can be rapidly deployed to serve patients and ensure the health of the organizations we support as well as the broader healthcare industry.

July 2019

Connecting in Chicago

Because Chartis consultants can live virtually anywhere in the country, the firm works creatively to ensure that colleagues remain connected. In addition to participating in biannual all-firm events, Chartisans gather regularly for learning programs and cohort-based connectivity events. In July 2019, more than 80 consultants in the firm’s “caucus” cohort met in sunny Chicago for two days of knowledge sharing, learning, leadership discussions, and team building at an outdoor playground venue.

May 2019

A New Partnership

In May, Chartis announced its recapitalization with Audax Private Equity, a leading capital partner of North American middle market companies with offices in Boston, New York and San Francisco. Audax Private Equity has invested over $5 billion in platform companies, seeking to help them execute add-on acquisitions that fuel revenue growth, optimize operations and significantly increase equity value. With Audax as a partner, Chartis is excited to continue to achieve meaningful growth and expand its impact on global healthcare, while nurturing the culture that differentiates the firm.

January 2019

Chartis Launches LiveWell

Early this year, the firm launched LiveWell, a holistic program designed to support the physical, social, emotional and financial wellbeing of its colleagues through new internal communication channels and resources, vendor partnerships and a quarterly stipend to cover wellbeing-related expenses including gym fees, specialty classes, meditation, massage or personal gym equipment. The program has been enthusiastically received by Chartisans, who value the importance of staying well to do well!

December 2018

Giving Back to our Communities

Chartisans give back to their local communities in myriad ways, from ongoing volunteering efforts to an annual firm-sponsored Community Service Day. On a Friday in December 2018, Chartisans congregated in nine cities across the country to lend their support to a range of charitable organizations providing much-needed assistance to underserved communities. Colleagues sorted clothing and supplies, loaded trucks, assisted with housing and employment searches, assembled gift bags, created holiday cards, made flannel blankets and packed meals. After a productive and inspiring day, one colleague observed, “I can’t imagine a more fitting way to spend our holidays together – by making things better for others. That’s who Chartis is, and that’s why I’m here.”

A Time for Reflection and Celebration

Chartisans from across the country gathered on Amelia Island near Jacksonville, Florida for the firm's annual retreat, where colleagues took time to reflect on the past year, celebrate their impact, and plan for the year to come. Over those two days, the firm’s colleagues participated in a thought-provoking workshop focused on diversity and inclusion, discussed the responses to its annual “Chartisphere” engagement survey, and participated in team-building activities including the production of videos highlighting what makes Chartis unique. There was plenty of time for socializing as well: colleagues enjoyed pool time, late-night karaoke, and a Boho Beach Bash (no shoes allowed!)
