Salaries ranged from less than $45,030 to more than $126,390. Other jobs closest to astrobiologists that the DOL provides information on are biochemists and biophysicists, who earned salaries that ranged from $49,230 or less to $177,680 or more in May 2018. General biological scientists working for the federal government earned a mean salary of $84,440.
