Salaries for career guidance technicians vary according to education, experience, and the geographic location of the job. In general, career guidance technicians (a career similar to other administrative support personnel such as office clerk) are graduates of two-year post high school training programs or have equivalent experience. In May 2019, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, the mean annual wage of office clerks who worked in colleges, universities, and professional schools had mean annual wages of $34,490. Salaries for office clerks in all industries ranged from $21,140 or less to $55,300 or more.
