The salary range for radio and television announcers is extremely broad, with the lowest 10 percent earning less than $8.65 an hour, or $18,000 a year in May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. The median annual salary was $44,260. The top 10 percent earned $86,780 or more in the same year. Popular broadcast personalities such as Howard Stern can earn more than $1,000,000 a year.
