Fraud Examiners, Investigators, and Analysts

Work Environment

Fraud examiners, investigators, and analysts work in corporate office settings. They usually work full-time business hours. Much of their work day is spent on computers, conducting research and e-mailing with co-workers and others, as well as on the telephone and in meetings. Travel may be required at times to meet with clients, fraud claimants and witnesses, and other team members located in other regions. The job can be stressful at times, particularly when dealing with people who may be difficult to interview and when working under deadline pressure.
