Salaries of medical laboratory technicians vary according to employer and geographical area. In May 2014, reported the median annual salary for medical laboratory technicians was $47,184; salaries ranged from less than $37,092 to more than $57,262. Median annual earnings of medical and clinical laboratory technicians were $38,970 in May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Salaries ranged from less than $25,890 to more than $60,810. Medical laboratory technicians who go on to earn their bachelor's degrees and certification as medical technologists can expect an increase in annual earnings.
