Non-Destructive Testing Specialists

Non-destructive testing specialists will continue to have good employment opportunities in the coming years. Various industries will need their expertise to test parts, components, structures, and vehicles to detect current and potential problems and come up with solutions. As described by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, "Modern non-destructive tests are used in manufacturing, fabrication, and in-service inspections to ensure product integrity and reliability, to control manufacturing processes, lower production costs, and to maintain a uniform quality level." NDT specialists will continue to be needed to make sure that products that are being used have the required integrity for usefulness and safety for the public.
