Robotics Engineers

Earnings and benefits in manufacturing companies vary widely based on the size of the company, geographic location, nature of the production process, and complexity of the robots. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) does not report on salaries specific to robotics engineers and technicians, but salary information can be garnered from other engineering disciplines. In general, electrical and electronics engineers earned a median starting salary of $101,250 in May 2019. The DOL reports the following salary ranges for engineers by specialty: computer hardware, $68,460 to $185,240; electrical, $63,020 to $155,880; electronics (except computer), $66,620 to $164,210; industrial, $57,290 to $134,070; and mechanical, $57,130 to $138,020.
