Secondary School Teachers

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that job opportunities for secondary school teachers will grow as fast as average for all careers through 2024 as a result of a decline in student enrollments due to lower birth rates. Enrollments will vary be region, with the largest enrollments occurring in the southern and western United States. Little or no enrollment growth is expected in the Midwest, and enrollment is expected to decline in the Northeast.
