Semiconductor processors (a category that includes semiconductor technicians) earned a median hourly wage of $17.01, or $35,390 a year, in May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Ten percent of all workers earned less than $12.17 an hour ($25,310 a year), while the top 10 percent earned $26.36 or more an hour ($54,820 a year or more). Technicians earning higher salaries have more education or have worked in the industry for many years.
