Application Process

Via University Recruiting

Student attends a “fit meeting” with a Recruiter and if selected to move forward to the next step, they will receive a link to formally apply for a Year Round Intern position.

The UPRR application process takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.  If selected to move to the next step; this could involve taking an on-line test (if testing is required for the position they have applied for).  If the student qualifies on the test, and if selected to move forward to the next step, the student will be invited to attend a panel interview.

If the student is located close to UPRR’s Headquarters (Omaha, NE) this will be an in person interview.  If they are not local, it will be a video interview.

If selected to move to the next step, the student will receive a conditional job offer and if accepted, they will need to qualify on a number of pre-employments tests (background, medical, drug screen etc) before being released to start the position.
