Program Overview: The Discover Internship Program (DIP) is a dynamic training program that provides participants with:

  • Challenging project assignments that support Discover’s strategic priorities and objectives
  • A dedicated Program Manager to provide leadership continuity, ongoing performance feedback and coaching on career direction
  • Hand-selected Internship Managers identified for their business acumen and effectiveness in managing and developing people
  • Cross-functional knowledge, experience and contacts
  • Ongoing developmental training
  • An experienced and committed mentor
  • Access and exposure to our senior leadership team This program is recognized as a major corporate asset and receives direct support of Discover executives.
  • Individuals enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Program. For certain business tracks, interns will need to have completed their Junior year
  • Different majors for the different tracks: Marketing = Marketing, Advertising/Public Relations, Brand or Product Management, Business, Liberal Arts, Economics, Communications; Business Technology = Computer Science or a related discipline; Finance = Accounting, Finance; Internal Audit = Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Operations Management or related fields; Operations = Liberal Arts, Finance, Business Administration, Operations or related field
  • US citizenship or permanent resident (except for Analytics track)
  • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 grade point average scale (2.5 or higher for Computer Science area)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to translate ideas into clear priorities
  • Strong financial and analytical aptitude
