The internship went above and beyond my expectations. I went into the internship knowing little to nothing about public accounting. FRCO has taught me everything I wanted to know and more. I will leave this summer knowing the big picture of public accounting, the work FRCO does, and what it means to work here. The rotational program is really well done. I don’t think anything was left out and I felt like I was a valuable asset to the firm when given work to complete for a client. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my experience at FRCO. I was surprised most by how much everyone cared about the interns. Within days we were treated as members of the firm. I never felt out of place at the annual meeting and had conversations with people ranging from 1st years to Partners and was never treated or spoken to differently. It is clear that FRCO has a work culture unlike any other and I think that is important to have in a public accounting firm, especially when busy season arrives.Downers
allotted time for certain trainings or events could be reduced. We would often finish most training, case studies, etc earlier than anticipated so we would get an extended break or have to just wait until the next slot came by for work. I would be willing to say almost everyone would have preferred to move the slots up as we accomplished things quicker and leave the day earlier. That being said, I thought the trainings and case studies were well thought out and important, I am only referring to the timing.Advice to Potential Interns
You will leave FRCO with a better understanding of how to proceed with your career in public accounting. This is a great place for those who are unsure about what they want to do.Would You Recommend
